Flabbergasted by Love

I am incredibly honored and excited to finally be able to put this site together; it has just been in a creative brainwave form for 4 years now, and I finally found the right direction, and collaborators, and impetus to share some of the insights I've gained in my 16 years of dating.

Our team of collaborators will be offering different insights and opinions in an effort to provide more healthy and multi-faceted point(s) of view.  We may not always agree on everything but these are people who I have trusted for more than half of my life and they are highly intelligent, compassionate, and beautiful (inside and out), and I am happy to have the opportunity to provide us all a platform to share our experiences and knowledge with the world.

About me:

• I am a small business owner (entrepreneur) in an emerging sector of business.

• I am a 34 year old, bisexual, cis woman, Libra, INFJ now though as a teen I tested as an INFP and still fit many of those markers, based in Portland, OR.  Be prepared for me to smash all the boxes you just made in your head for each of those descriptions.

• I am an outgoing introvert.

• I am a sister and auntie.

• I am a poet (I will likely NOT share my poetry here, but never say never)

• I have struggled with depression, perfectionism, anxiety, self-doubt, and procrastination.  It is highly likely that I will discuss all of these things here in one form or another.

• I endeavor to be the truest version of myself that I can be.

• I am a lover of art and creative expression.

• I am a passionate lover of all things beautiful.

• I am practicing ethical non-monogamy / Polyamory. 

• I will be using this blog a bit as a personal diary / journal of my journey from "serial" monogamy to Polyamory, as well as a first-hand account of what it's like to finally embrace my bisexuality and pursue women.

• I've only dated a couple of women in my life so I'll be sharing some of my lessons in that arena here.

• I grew up in a series of Northern California polyamorous and tantric households and communities with some of the movements' leading writers and teachers in the 90's and early 2000's.

• I practiced "serial monogamy" until I fell in love with a polyamorous man, and the ensuing rabbit hole I've wandered down has changed my life... so far in a positive way.

• Cannabis has been a positive tool / medicine / recreational activity / sexual enhancement in my life... I will likely discuss this in many of my posts.
